Introduction A common topic that arises during the discussion of sexuality is the influence of religion. A prevailing point-a-view is the idea that Christianity has strict views on the LGBT community and all Christians see their actions as sinful. I am looking to pursue this religious idea and to see if the data supports this connotation. As a Catholic, I have my own opinion and expectations of the information that may lead to some bias in my view of data. For instance, I have positive views on the LGBT community and I know that there are many Catholics that follow my same point-of-view. With this in mind, I understand that not all Catholic’s share my opinion and I understand that the general public perceive the connotation that all Catholics share the same negative and sinful view on the LGBT community. With my personal opinion and what the public think my opinion is, I will do my best to take a step back and view the information for what it is. Summary In today’s society, it common for people to stay in their comfort zone and reject ideas that oppose their own. In recent years, a man decided to challenge this perspective and to put his opinion to the test.
